It all started out Aug 24, 2007 when Steve and I met through a friend of ours at a Karaoke/Pizza place in Provo. Steve had only been up at BYU for about a week and was ready to go back home to family and friends, but luckily he didn't. We hit it off right from the beginning and knew we wanted to be together forever. In Dec. of 2007 Steve moved back to Arizona after the semester. The week after Christmas I came down to visit and was offered a great job and about a month later the girls and I found ourselves in the moving truck driving to start a new chapter in our lives.
Steve proposed in February and on May 3rd, 2008 Steve took me to the Mesa Temple and we knelt across the altar from each other and were sealed for Time & all Eternity.
As many of you know, the road to Eternity isn't easy. The last two years have had some speed bumps, U-turns, yield signs, road construction, detours, but there have also been times where the journey has been pretty good and smooth sailing.
I know there are many road bumps and detours ahead of us while we are on our road trip to Eternity, but at least I have my best friend in the seat next to me. The most important part is to remember to Enjoy the Ride. Those of you who have been in my house know that I have a vinyl lettering saying up on my wall saying "Life is to ENJOYED, not just ENDURED" Oh so true.
That's what marriage is all about: Finding Joy and Happiness with each other.
I am so grateful I have my sweetheart to share the ups and downs with. To enjoy the Journey with. I look forward to many more years to come with him by my side.
